I am a trained Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coach.
Unless you’ve heard of Jill Badonsky, you’re probably asking yourself what in the world such a long and playful title means.
This training results from a very balanced combination of two approaches described below.
KAIZEN: Small steps, Giant Leaps
“A journey of a thousand miles must begin with the first step” – Lao Tzu
The bottom line:
So simple. Break down your goals or desired change into small steps. Ask small questions. Practice mind sculpting.
The Result:
Small, tiny actions are a lot less intimidating and overwhelming than the drastic ones we often attempt when it comes to changing. In a nutshell:
Small steps that are doable…
= Small successes (and naturally, lots of them!)
= Feeling great about advancing towards where we want to be
= Compounded motivation, self-esteem
= Big leaps, changes and successes!
In Practice:
Let’s face it, if your goal was to lose weight, it’s much more likely that you would feel more compelled and motivated to eat one bite less of your meal than to cut out all the foods that you enjoy and possibly are addicted to…am I right, or am I right?
Success – including little ones – are so much more empowering, motivating and encouraging than the feeling of failure that comes from not doing anything at all to create the nurturing life we desire.
My training in the Kaizen approach was greatly enriched by the teachings of Robert Maurer, a Kaizen Champion!
THE MODERN DAY MUSES: The fun part!
Based on Jill Badonsky‘s wealth of inspirational tools, the Nine Modern Day Muses and a Bodyguard offer you countless fun exercises that help over come blocks and obstacles to creativity in the broader sense of the word: creation of a new habit, an improved relationship, abundance…the possibilities are endless!
Some of the tools I use and adapt to your personal situation and preferences:
- Guided imagery
- Mind mapping
- Writing
- Anchors and affirmations
- Expressive movement
- Collage and dream boards
- And so many more gems!
What makes the Muses’ approach so appealing is that they defy the widely held belief that change must always and only be painstaking, a struggle and void of fun.
On the contrary, the Muses are inviting you to a personal change p a r t y where you get to play with your goals and desires and enjoy the creative process of change, HOW YOU LIKE IT!
